CHARBHUJA Industries P Ltd has been in existence since 1982. CHARBHUJA’s name was derived from a famous hindu temple from north India symbolizing Lord Vishnu. The company was formed by a group of individuals mainly to pursue an imports and trading business in India. In 1997, CHARBHUJA started peanuts business with main focus on Far East countries. The same year, exports to EU for food emulsifiers like soya lecithin also started. The trading business was pursued till 2001 when the new management came over and put up a factory in central India to enter in business of specialty fats. During the same period, CHARBHUJA started pursuing its peanut trading business more seriously and entered into job manufacturing arrangements with a host of factories in western and southern India. In 2003, CHARBHUJA become a major player in India and Western Europe for food emulsifiers. The central Indian factory was expanded to start processing soya lecithin with the active support from its customers. CHARBHUJA is a privately held company and has no immediate plans to expand its share holding.
